Due to the ageing seal enclosure and the associated structural, functional and, above all, energy deficits, some of which were extreme, the zoo decided to replace this enclosure with a modern and sustainable one.

ZQD GmbH won the preliminary competition for the general planning. The result should be a special experience for visitors and, above all, a species-appropriate habitat for the animals. The result will be worked on together with the ZQD team. ZQD will support the zoo from the architecture to the awarding of all construction services.
