In the process of implementing the new master-plan 2020 of the Cologne Zoo, the redesign of the secondary entrance building at the Riehler Guertel was scheduled. In collaboration with the general management of the zoo, Dipl. Ing. Sezai Candan, as the responsible project manager for Geising + Böker Generaplaner GmbH, developed a new concept for this important administration building.
Under his supervision, an existing shop-building was redesigned and modernized into an attractive secondary entrance building with an integrated zoo shop. During the construction process, the neighbouring lavatories were renovated and redesigned according to the zoo’s CI. The Project was finalized according to the given budget and opened on schedule.
