Cologne Zoo commissioned ZQD GmbH to support the zoo as a partner in the technical, operational and architectural development and design of the Masterplan 2030. The animal experience and animal welfare will be equipped with spacious and authentically designed communal facilities in which different animal species will be socialized with each other in a natural way, making the zoo an even more incomparable and unique zoo experience. Exciting and new visual perspectives and axes, through the deep and seemingly endless panoramic enclosures, accompany zoo visitors on their tour. Large, walk-in free-flight aviaries allow visitors to immerse themselves directly in the habitat and become part of the shared habitat themselves. The step-by-step implementation of the individual projects also ensures that the zoo is constantly open to visitors.
