“Cologne Zoo 2020 – Enthusiastic about animals” is the Motto of the current master plan of the Cologne Zoo. One large part of this master plan was the new “Clemenshof” Zoo Farm with an integrated Education Centre (Zooschule), a petting zoo, as well as the main Zoo-shop.

Following an existing detailed design, Dipl. Ing. Sezai Candan, was engaged in executing the building process as the overall responsible project manager for the general planning company Geising + Böker Generalplaner GmbH. The main zoo shop, as well as an exclusive event area, were planned together with him and finalized in time. The farm is home to rare and endemic livestock that can be observed in a historic German farm surrounding. The neighbouring education centre can use the farm animals for enriching descriptive lessons. The complex task was finalized on schedule and according to the given budget.
