ZOOQUARIUMDESIGN was commissioned to design a concept for the further development of the Inselzoos as a public facility. The master plan was developed in collaboration with Pluswerte. As part of this project, business analyses, stocktaking and visitor surveys were carried out.

Based on the findings, various key themes emerged. These include the concept of a waterfowl aviary with an integrated lighthouse, a Madagascar lemur island, an adventure playground for children and covered shelters with a view of the attractions that invite visitors to linger and relax.
